I have a Toshiba SD 42HKSA home theatre system.
My home theatre system has 2 RCA input jacks and also a 'optical input' port.
I am planning to buy a new TV which can connect to my home theatre so that I can enjoy Digital 5.1 speaker surround sound.
What ports should I look for on the TV. Is it the 'optical output' port??
Also which TV model should I go for???

u mean 5.1 from cable channels?
it wont matter cable hardly even supports true stereo sound ..
anyways ... u ust have to plug in the tv to ur av receiver which will create a pseudo 5.1 effect for u
any tv with an audio or video out should do
but the best as i see it is sony !! i wouldnt go for anything else
tvs dont have optical outs ... well atleast not crt;s
maybe the plasma panels ...
that optical in on ur receiver is for a dvd player with an optical out ....
