It's the time to change my PC...
Guys, need your suggestion! I want to change my PC, but can't figure out some decisions. They are as follows:
1. Which type of PC is more convenient for a middle-class family(taking all aspects in mind)- a branded, or an assembled one?
2. What is the fastest, yet affordable processor now in the shop?
3. What is the latest and most speedy RAM type in the market( For your info, I never compromise on RAM!)?
Please help me out quickly! Thank you.

1) branded/assembled has nuthin to do with family class
its more individual
some prefer branded .. most preferred assembled
2)&3) just give us ur budget we'll help u out ... cuz these answers will vary with budget .

Hey, that's cool! Yours suggestion will surely help, because u have shown other option than P4(an AMD 64) which is being talked about. But as I don't know, is it worth spending money after an AMD? I mean, is it theoritically newer and better, but practically...??
Please comment on this!
And sorry for anything that hurt u, buddy!

Most of my friends feel AMD is better, i dont really have any openion about it, but its cheaper than a pentium, and gives u equal/better performance.
Hp and Compaq do have some pcs in the 36K range. U could call up any of their showrooms, tell them ur budget is bout 35K and they would show u waht they have.
if ur goin for an assembled pc,
then the config Raven suggested is really nice
@ Raven,
dude, where can i get 512mb ddr400 ram for rs,1900 ?
I was plannin to increase my ram to a GB
