Default Which is the better 64-bit solution?

Hullo guys,

Just wanted to ask this:---

Well we have an AMD Athlon 64 processor and an Intel P4 64-bit edition.
I've to buy a PC.
So which one will be better...

Also I want to know the details about Intel's and AMD's 64-bit Processor Models
and which respective motherboards will work the best with them...

Thx in advance!

AMD has clearly beaten Intel on this front
it simply has the better design to back its performance
http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/artic...,120082,00.asp

go for an AMD64 coz its better

cheaper , and more easily available

Fine....

This thing I somewhat knew that AMD had beaten Intel in 64-bit arena.

OK I'll go with an AMD Processor and Motherboard, but then this question comes to my mind:

I won't be able to enjoy the benefits of the quite powerful Inter GMA 900 Graphics adapter.
Are there any such motherboards with AMD which provide a good video adapter.

Plz answer...

dont worry mate the on board solution provided by most AMD boards do match the performance of the 900 gma

generally boards from MSI and ASUS perform better !!!

my choice
MSI rs480m2-il

or the
ASUS k8n-delux

Hey the reviews of both the boards were not good at both PCStats and ExtremeTech.

Well anyway I'd like to ask what are these Extreme Edition P4s from Intel.

I've finally decided to go for Intel 64-bit platform.
So plz tell me the best Processor-Motherboard combo under 15K.

Thx in advance.....

MSI rs482m2-il and Gigabyte K8N51GMF are best buy for AMD64 with onboard display. And this IGP is better than Intel chipset.

Also AMD64 processor is better than Intel 64 processors in almost every task.

I would suggest AMD64 3400+ and Gigabyte K8N51GMF combo for 15K.

In Intel you can go for P4-LGA 3.2 GHz 800MHz, 2MB,LGA-HT with Intel D915GAV, which will end up little higher than 15K.

Well now all that u guys have told me about AMD, I'd have to seriously reconsider my decisions.

@aadipa I'll surely check out that combo which u suggested.

@a_to_z123
where have u seen reviews about MSI RS480M2-IL
that are bad... i mean this is a great board as far as onboard graphics is concerned...

but now if u get a nvidia 6100/6150 chipset based mobo I'll suggest u that...
the graphics is "EXACT" same performance... not priority to anyone there....but RS480 has no overclocking reatures.... just that...

@Kniwor Check the above sites.

Anyway I'm taking all things into consideration now.
