Imation flash drive not working !!suggestions needed

i " was " a proud owner of an imation flash drive ( 512 MB - swivel cap).But all of a sudden ,it has stopped working.It doesnt get detected in winxp .and since i got this drive outside india ..i cant even give it back for replacement .any ideas on what could hav gone wrong and any suggestions on how to get back my drive to its working condition.I checked the usb ports ..but they r workin fine and no issues whatsoever with the drivers .wrote to their cust support and still waitin for a reply !!

this mite sound crazy...but i had a 128 flash drive and same thing happened to it. i squeezed it real hard, prob sumn wz loose or somethin n den it worked. but after every few times u use it, gonna hafta giv it anuda squeeze lol
