P2P FILE SHARING PROBLEM --- PLEASE HELP
Hi,
I could not use p2p file sharing feature. I am using LAN for internet connection. I am behind NAT ROUTER(probably 3), proxy, L2,L3 switches. I have no access right to modify their configuration. I am using azureus for client programme. I check NAT problem and found sleath in test. The port 6881 ,6969 or 7000 is not opened.
Is there any way to bypass all this , or any tools is available so that I can use file sharing feature without any problem.
Please help...
Thanks in advance..

If the ports are stealthed, then you do have a nat problem. If u have no access to the nat or router, then you cannot do anything man. If u have access, then you can try port forwarding on the said nats. Or you can ask the network admin to arrange it for you. You cannot bypass using any tool or it would defeat the purpose of a nat.

u can try changin the ports used by the p2p clients to something wich is not blocked...
btw, i think u should use BitComet instead of azureas cuz azureas takes a lotta system resources n i hav usd both i found bitcomet 2 b btr...and i dono abt azureas but i remma bitcomet had an option to change the port number

I doubt that an organization that deploys 3 levels of nats will have even one ports open. But you can try to do a port scan at some security site.
And azurues does support changing ports. Azureus is not a big ugly dumb program like ppl take it to be. It is *the* advanced (and best, imho) BT client out there. But it's not for the weak of computers for sure. But I myself run it 24/7 in the background, while I game or do whatever in the foreground.

I probably have a faster machine then. I've run cod2 and NFSmw with no snag.
Anyway, I don't think his port 80 will be open coz I don't think the org expects inside ppl to run servers; it's NATed. If your port 80 is open then you can very well use it. Any open port will do. But avoid the ones with a server running on it.

Er, no. Browsing websites doesn't require/mean that your computer has an open port, because you are only running a http client (your browser). If u are running a server (apache, iis), then you need an open port to run the server on.
The 'open' is as seen from the 'outside' or from the Internet; not from your side. But if you can scan the ports using some online tool and find that you have port 80, 21 or any other reserved port open, and you don;t have a server running on that port, then you can very well ask azureus to use that port.
