Right Off the Assembly Line

Default Where my hidden folders?


Hello!
Today wehn i wanted to veiw my hidden folders and system files
i was unable to do it as there was no option such as " folder options "
in my tools menu i did only contain - mapr network drive,disconnect network drive and Syncrhonize. I even went to my Control Panel to check Folders but it wasn`t there

Please Help Me

try findin tht in the classic menu of the control panel
or try gettin tht in the tool bar

if the above dont work

then there is this tweak for enable/disable folder options in WinXP manager

try tht and i am sure it will sove the prob !!!!

Start -> Run and type regedit, It'll open Registry Editor. Then nevigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer

In right-side pane, u'll see a key named:

NoFolderOptions

And its value will be 1.

Simply change its value to 0 or delete the key...

Another may be the following dos command:
Supposing your problem is c:\windows----
C:\windows>attrib -h
This changes its attributes to unhidden. Since most of the hidden files are in root directory, try opening that! 8)

Dood check the account you are using maybe u dont have sufficient rights to change the attributes so log in with some admin account and then try it out again.
