Movie files to .gif ???

Hi all,

I hv seen some images or avatars taken frm video file.. tht is some small bit of vid wil b used as a gif image.. how to do it..

if ur lookin for more formats just type this in google:

formatname +to gif

eg MOV +to GIF

(its not case sensitive)

Just look into the Digit DVD. from a few months

Well, you got many softwares nowadays like Windvd, Jetaudio, etc. which provide for a facility called stillshots.
Just pause the movie to get your liked avatar or position, simply use that feature, & it will save it as gif image. It can then be resized using any good image editor( Our microsoft office pic manager is decent enough)

watevr u hv said wil giv a static image..

i need it as video file itself with an extension of gif instead of avi or mpg etc.,
