I have a lot of data on my pc that i dont use (dumped data)
Whcih is the best compression method so that it occupies less space I mean zip it or any other tecnique in more effective
Same is the case with my video files so which is the best format 4 videeos which occupies less space plz recommend the sofware 4 the purpose 2

for compressing the data u can rar it..... with best compression but it gonna take a lot of time!!

regarding the video compression divx ofers the best compression!!!

If you have lots of free RAM, then you may try out 7-zip http://www.7-zip.org/

It offers MUCH better compression that any format, but downside is that its slow and uses a lot of ram (while compressing and decompressing). Of course, you can configure it as to how much compression you need, so its a question of speed/ram v/s size.
