Default Overclocking Advices requested

I have finally upgraded to AMD 64 3000 Venice, A8N-E, 512MBx2 Transcend (M timings 2.5,3,3,8 ) and Asus PCIe 6200 Graphics. Please let me know how far this can be overclocked and how to do it, since this is the first time I am going to do it though I have been using computers for many years.
Secondly, even after installing AMD Cool & Quiet and enbling it in the Bios, the CPU fan is running @ 3800+ speed even without any application running other than Avast Antivirus and Zone Alarm. Temperatures are CPU 36 and MB 37. Is it normal (ie. speed of the CPU fan)?

Thanking you all in advance.

your speeds and temps are perfectly normal.

as far as I know, the ASUS mobos do not support fan speed control, on my msi mobo, the idling speed of the fan is about 960 rpm, max at 5700.

Initially my CPU fan used to run @ around 1000 rpm, (when idling) for about a week. Also, as per the MB manual, it supports AMD "cool & quiet" driver which I had installed in addition to "Asus cool & quiet software".

Unfortunately, after my first post, the CPU fan speed has further increased and is around 5000 rpm now. The system was very quiet earlier and has become very noisy now. Even the chipst fan runs >3500 rpm now.

Somebody please help!

I managed to bring down the fan speed to 1100-1200 by enabling Q-Fan in the Bios. The fans are almost silent now.
But the unfortunate thing is that the CPU speed now is 1005 (HTT 201 x 5) and the CPU voltage is 1.104 as against the original 1800 and 1.4
Help again solicited from you geeks with thanks in advance.

The lower voltages and CPU speeds is due to cool n quiet. Dont worry, its normal.

Thanks to you all, but nobody has so far mentioned the ways of overclocking it. I have given the basic specifications.
