Default Bluish Monitor-Help


The monitor shows a blue colour. Even upon reinstallation teh problem persists. The DOS text are shown as blue coloured font upon black background as default. Even in windows everything is upon a blue screen. Reinstallation of dispaly driver didnt help. Degauss failed to bring any effect. Plz help.

I'll bet on a loose cable or unclean contact in the monitor socket. Just make sure that the contacts are not the culprit before you take that crt to a service station.

I think its the moniter prob. I had similar experiences but the colour was green and they said it was due to humidity. It sometimes worked when i slapped the moniter

lemme check the cable connexion & contact in the monitor socket b4 taking to the service station.

ya...i corrected the problem.....one of the contact pins of teh monitor was bent and was out of contact. i straightened it and inserted in the port....the problem vanished.
