no return from command prompt full screen

whenever i use TurboC from command prompt(in windows xp with sp2) in fullscreen mode then i never get exit from the command prompt full screen because on pressing the alt-enter the screen becomes black and then i have to restart my pc

Try hitting Esc. or Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager. Then shut down the process "NTVDM" and all will be well.
