Default HTML Notes

Can somebody suggest a site from where i can download some HTML notes for beginners.Not much problem with the tags but want to know more bout the theritical part.

If you dont know anything about HTML ..
then you should start with http://www.pagetutor.com/
But the whole tutorial is not free .. once you understand the basics .. switch over to any other site suggested here.

A good place to start is http://www.w3c.org - The official website of the Wold Wide Web Consortium. It has a lot of links to HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc. for learning...
