when tried to disk clean drive C, i have noticed "old chk dsk files taking about 131224K space. what is it? Is it an essential file if not how to get rid the same. |

Those are the files created by scan disk and u can safely delete them and recover some space

hmm...those files are created by a program callled chkdsk.exe. This will run during boot time if your system is not shutdown properly. It will scan your disk and look for logical errors and any data that is not marked as belonging to any file. Those .chk files are created when files are left open because of improper or suddent shutdown.
Its safe to delete them... |

lol u can chkdsk as the younger brother of scan disk
reboot ur system and delete.... or press shift+delete to remove completely without sending it to the recycle bin ..:: peace ::.. Jeba
