Are you sure it is the bios that is the problem and not the battery? What exactly is the error you are facing? Have you tried to use a new battery?

What make do you have?

If you have HP then HP BIOS Flash can be done from windows itself!

For others I thing you have to download it and can flsh it through floppy.

But Flashing BIOS is a risky one.

Make sure you have uninterupted power while flashing because if there is a power failure while flashing then it become impossible to recover

forget all the above....just tell me what is your bios manufac. you can download the bios update file from their websites. the bios update file may be as express installer or a flashing bios file. if it is a express installer, just install it as you install other files.

i think you don't have to update your BIOS. do one thing, try to remove the chip and replaced again, some mobo has the facility to remove the eprom chip.

its easy....just do it carefully...

the main power supply cable which is attached with the mobo.... uplugged it. there are 10*2 cables. the cables are .. upper row: [left to right] red/red/white/black/black/black/green/black/blue/orange---here take a wire or a pin -- make U shape and connect the black with green [left to right] --- then turn on power .. if your PSU starts as usual -- your PSU is OK. note: unplugged all the power connector if you are not sure....

you can use m/b monitor software to check the voltage frq or you can do it from BIOS also.
