Page File Blues

i have a P III 533 ,256 Ram , Onboard AGP,Sound,Modem,Lan etc....

i am using XP home w Sp1....from last few days my PC has started Crowling...inspite cheking the task mgr ...for any unwanted files...but nothing suspecious.......when my Xp loads it shows approx 400 MB of pagefile usage wh used to be around 100-180 MB normally.......also if i go online it increses to 500-550 MB ..i hav set up a dedicated part for my swap file....... and stopped all the unwanted services in the bground.....but still no use........i hav scanned the sys w AVG free w latese updates n Spy bot....but nothing came up......cud any 1 help me .....also in the taskmgr it shows 3 exe of same name called "svchost" otto wh 1 consumes approx 50/60 MB of ram .....i donno wat it is....plz help me out......
