I hope I am right .

An ICQ nos is like our userid .

In other messengers we use can use alphanumerics for our username but in ICQ we use only numbers and they act as our userid.

Please correct me if I am wrong as I have not used ICQ for quite some time.

Regards

Like many other Instant messanging softwares, ICQ is also an IM, infact it is one of the widly used IM. As with other IM where you are assigned with a unique user name, ICQ allots you a unique ICQ number and a username. You dont have any choice in the case of number, although you can have any user name you wish, which is not unique. Everytime you want to use ICQ, you have to log in with your ICQ number rather than your username.
