Default how can i overclock my pc ???


can anybody tell me how to overclock my pc


os-windows XP
2.6 Ghz cpu with 640 mb ram
pentium 4


is overclocking harmful to pc ???
i saw my frnd's 3.0 Ghz pc , its vry much faster regarding that he have 256 mb ram !!!


these days my pc using paging file 1.8 gb & sometimes it gets vry slow that it gives messages that virtual memory too low !!!

so choosed system managed paging option !!!
sometimes 5,6 softwares go simultaneously fine but sometimes in just 6 internet explorers it gets slow !!!

is my pc working on only god's bharose & my ram isnt helping me ???

hey, is there any way to overclock any or al;l parts of ur pc via a software. i wanna OC my proccy which i cant do via BIOS

Ya, we can do it from BIOS. if you are using a Intel board, go for clock section, put the desire clock speed and restart.

OVERCLOCKING IS VERY HARMFUL TO PC, ITS REDUCES THE LIFE OF PROCESSOR AND M/B BOTH

i have amd cpu and biostar mobo. suggest me any software for these if possible as i cant do that via BIOS since there is no frequency option in it.
