Update it online whenever newer versions or definations updates are available.

of course i update
but when there is a new version available i install.. e.g. i was using spybot 1.3 and when version 1.4 came i installed it

There is not much of a difference between any versions of any Antivirus or even Anti spywares...They all provide u with recommended protection provided u keep updating ur definitions for the same.

Its only that wenever a newer version is released (be it any s/w) there are jus a couple of additions into the s/w, a couple more options for users.

Its a common sense that no company...will advertise tat our newer version is better than the older one.. as then ppl will jus run away from the company..
