MONITOR PROBLEM !!!!!

Hey guys,I hv a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 753s 17" monitor. Now for the past 2-3 days my monitor is behaving really crazily..Sumtimes there is no display at all and at other times,I can see till the WINDOWS XP (starting bar icon) and then the Display is blank and the Monitor LED ( the Monitor power button) keeps blinking (as if it does in an OFF state).

Sumtimes i hv to remove the monitor cord( while my PC is OFF) and then again reinsert it in the Monitor cord jack and after sumtime shaking (slowly) the cord (wen in OFF state) i restart my PC and the display comes back to normal.

Y is this hapening?? is my monitor goin corrupt/non working state? (its 4 years old). And today wen the same problems occoured,I again reinserted the cord and wen the WIN XP started,the Taskbar said tat UR MONITOR RESOLUTION HAS BEEN SET TO A LOWER CONFIGURATION. and then a message box was displayed and i selected the option LET WIN XP AUTOMATICALLY CHOOSE MY DISPLAY SETTINGS.

THe current refresh rate is 1024x768 at 75 Hertz.I hv an nVIDIA Ge Force FX 5200 256 MB Graphics card (with 66.93 FORCEWARE drivers installed) on an Original INTEL D865 GBF mobo with 256 MB DDR(266) Hynix RAM. I hv also tried reinstalling the FORCEWARE drivers of my AGP card but still the problem crops up every now and then.(but not regularly only sumtimes)

Please help needed guys...

well as far as i c.. u shld get ur monitor serviced or checked by ur technician.... bcos ur connecting cord seems to have a problem.. it could be a problem with both Monitor or the display card.. try using a display card from ur friend or somethin n try workin if the prob still pers. get ur monitor checked..

Thanx for ur replyBharathbala .But do u knw any SAMSUNG service center where i can take my Monitor to ?? im living in Mumbai.As any of my frends dont hv a AGP card so atleast i can take a location of SAMSUNG service center and call a Technician...If any other guys can giv me the SAMSUNG service center,it would be really helpful.

Shud i bring a new Monitor cord from the market and check it ??

Hey than a lot Warrior for the contacts.. but do u hv any idea if these SAMSUNG service centers are near Bandra or Andheri (coz i live in Goregaon) so a service center near my house would be really helpful or atleast 10 Kms from my area...

1.) BTW ru guys sure that i shud really dump my MONITOR to the SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTER or shud i get a new Monitor cord and check it??

2.) How much does a Monitor Cord (if available in the market) costs for my SAMSUMG SYNC MASTER 753s 17" monitor?? any idea guys??

3.) Also is it an indication tat i shud change my Monitor ??
