Send Fonts

I immediately need all the fonts that come with Windows XP. something has screwed my comp bigtime. Thanx in advance. Its really urgent

I wanted to upload the fonts since the connection which i am not is very fast but fonts folder =289 files , 1 folder, 85 Mb

well i do have all of em and some more (installed later) i dunno how to differentiate bween windows walle and the ones ive installed . Send em all to u ????

Instead of asking someone to send you the fonts via email or uploading to a web page, simply insert your Windows disc (I am sure you would be having one, at least I hope so) and then choose to Repair your OS, since its Windows XP. It would automatically reinstall and re-register all the fonts. Also, consider checking your PC for viruses.

Anyone have helvetica font? All the pdfs that I read seem to use that and so most of my pdfs all look like this:

When I save it as .ps in acrobat and open the .ps in distiller, it says that helvetica, helvetica-bold, etc are not found. No pdfs came with them embedded too.

Are you using Linux? If so, the chances of you finding commercial Windows TT fonts like the Helvetica family group are pretty slim, at least for free. In which case, you can try the SourceForge CoreFonts project download and see if that fixes your problem. If you're using Windows and Office, it shouldn't really be a problem, and you can just ask someone with the TT font to give it to you, although it would be kind of illegal, unless you can ask the original PDF author to embed the fonts or use a different one.
