Default alcohol 120% problem


hi,

when i clicked on alcohol to insert one of the image file on to virtual drive, there was some error and so i planned to uninstall and reinstall alcohol 120%, i did so but there directory still existed and thee exe file was there. so i deleted the directory myself hoping to hv uninstalled. and i restarted to reinstlal... but it wudnt install it says this error

"some driver has invalid name or conflicts with other file or services in system. please choos other driver names or make sure u rebooted after removal of software using same names"

pls some1 help me out... thk u.

i think the virtual drive that alcohol creates is giving problem... go to device manager and then remove the driver for the Virtual drive that alcohol has created........
and then reinstall

@nikhil, i hav been trying to install again for more than a week, it says the same error, so i suggest u not to post any more useless replies.

@champ_rock, there are no virtual drives created by alcohol that r listed under device manager!!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Alcohol Soft

Delete these 2 keys from the registry after u have uninstalled everything, restart, and see if it works...

kniwor, nope. it dint work either... i think there is a driver problem.. how do i uninstall/delete the driver?

yes, it uninstalled well, but i cudnt reinstall!

ok never used alcohol but have heard that it uses virtual drives.....
sorry for that...

champ_rock, yes it uses, but when i uninstall, it automatically removes the virtual drives as well and i dint hav a problem with that, i meant... thk u.

ok do this delete vax347b and vax347b from c:\windows\system32\drivers. i was facing a similar problem but after deletinmg these the prob was solved.
