Default Unable to use Rewritable DVDs.

I have Samsung CD&DVD Writer model is "TS-H552U". it works fine with all types of CD both CDR and Rewitable CDs. Also it works fine with write once DVDs.

Recently I purchased "Meser Bear" 2.4X DVD+Rewritable media. It is not writing on this media saying that media is not compatible. I have tried Nero 6.6.0.15 and also Win XP's inbuilt DVD writer option.

I feel that it is the 2.4X fixed speed for DVD writing of this media which is not supported by Nero 6.6.0.15, as i am usalyy writing at 2X, 4X or 8X.

Can someone suggest a solution or any other DVD buring software which supports 2.4X DVD buring speed.

An early reply will be very much helpful to me.

2.4X is definitely supported by Nero. You're problem is either a faulty disc or incompatiblity (with you're burner).

As keith said, is unlikely that it's nero, but sometimes some writers dont like some discs, i have faced this problem in past, neither the disc is faulty nor the writer, so i'd suggest u try the disc on another writer first, if it orks, try disc on ur writer from some other manufacturer
