I have a spare Ath XP 2000 based system, but the mobo died
I m looking for a new agp 8x mobo to support my gx5200 card...was thinking of something on the nforce2 lineup like the asus A7n8x-x mobo...
any suggestions on wat mobo i shud buy for this processor?

Recently my Athlon XP 1700+ system died & I dint know what was the problem.

I got it checked & was told the MOBO is dead. So I got a new one but it still doesnt work.

I keep getting funny beeps & the system shuts down within a few seconds of boot.

Now can someone tell me if the Processor is dead do we get the beeps or nothing happens at all.

most mobos on the nforce 2 and kt400a chipset support sata.u may also try a krypton mobo(biostar rebadged) which is as good as an asus but cheaper(subject to availablity)
