How can I know how long a cookie is going to exist in my computer i.e. lifespan of the cookie?

Hmm.. I dont know for sure as to how long it's stays.. but in case you use Firefox, you can use this extension:
Add n Edit Cookies
You can even set the cookies to expire in 2006
www.addneditcookies.mozdev.org/

in firefox, there is option setting. These are the 3 options.

Keep cookies
- until they expire
- until I close firefox
- ask me everytime.

So you can select the duration and over-ride the default settings.

i know that there r ways by which i can set cookies 2 expire when i like.... but i am trying to know when the cookie is going to expire.
actually my main aim is 2 know when do the google adsense cookies expire?
