Default HardDisk Partition Size Error???

Hello friends!

I am having a big problem. I have a 80GB HDD with 5 Partitions on it. The partition size are as follows -:

C Drive : 20 GB
D Drive : 10 GB
E Drive : 10 GB
F Drive : 10 GB
D Drive : 25 GB

Everything was fine before I used Acronics Trueimage yesterday. I dont what mistake I did, since then my 'C' drive is showing only 10 GB space. Please take a look at the snapshot of my disk partition size that I got from Partition Magic 8. It clearly shows that 'C' drive is of 20481MB with 3623MB used and 6612MB space left. The total of space used and space left comes to about 10235MB. Then where the hell did the rest of space disappear.

Please help me in recovering my HDD space. I know that one of the process would be to delete all partitions and make fresh partitions, but that would mean loosing all my dada and reinstalling OS again, which would be the last thing I would do. Can anyone suggest me of any other idea and the software that can halp me so as to recover my HDD space without reinstalling my present OS.

Thank you.

It would have helped if you told us your OS.

Anyways ..
If its XP .. Go to Command Prompt and type "chkdsk C: /R" and restart computer.
If its 98 .. then type "scandisk /autofix"

Thanks alib_i, but chkdsk and scandisk commands as per my knowledge refers to problems related to bad sectors, may that be due to a improper shutdown or for any other reason. My problem is related to partition. But still I did what you recommended me to do, but no good...

Did u try the option to Redistribute the disk space?
try that option and merge the free space in ur C: drive.

U can do one more thing to right-click on C: partition in PQ magic and select the option to check for errors!

U can try one thing!
Try to resize ur C: partition using PQ Magic.
First reduce its size and then redistribute all free space in it.
May be it helps u?

PS: Do it at ur own risk and take backup of data.
