if i have created & uploaded a website on yahoo geocities ... & only i known the password for this particular acc. (my yahoo acc) ...


can anybody (outsiders & frds), find out or analyse my site`s traffic ??? ie inshort its usage ...

If only you know the password, how will a site's visitor know about the statistics?

I have statcounter on one of my sites. But the free version now proves useless because I have over 100 visitors per day I don't want to pay for it

For knowing about the traffic, place a code provided by statcounter in your site. When users click that code, they will be taken to a page which will show you how much visitors visited your page and more details.

Statcounter shows different details on ur traffic. such as... which countries ur visitors are from, what sites r linking u, how many unique visitors, how many returning visitors and other such stuff...on pasting th code of statcounter the no of visitors to ur site ll be displayed on ur webpage (u can customize the look of the counter)

If one is using the free service of geocites then he/she cant show ads, so no question of being paid.

To know about the traffic of ur blog signup with statcounter or other such counter service. I prefer statcounter and use it on my blog: www.genericsuperhero.blogspot.com

there r sites which claim to send u visitors in thousands. i hav nt tried any and google asks webmasters to steer clear of them. u can submit ur blog to different directories and also u may like to xchange ur link with other bloggers. this ll definitely boost ur search engine pagerank and also increase visitors.

link xchange... for example u give a link of my blog on ur site and i give urs on my site

search engine pagerank= ur site's rank in search engines like google, yahoo, etc

besides a blog directory, blogexplosion has other features as well--the main one is that u can earn traffic by visiting other blogs thru the blogexplosion interface. (btw, i never used it and only saw my sister using it)
