dvd do not play

i have a samsung dvd rom sd-608 after formatting my system the dvds are not running.also when my brother formatted his system his dvd don't play he also has the same model is it a driver problem.please help me[/b]

When u formatted ur system, all th DVD codecs which u installed were deleted. So, try reinstalling those codecs.

happened to me also

i had a compaq laptop with winME
i put XP on it but the dvd encoder was not compatible...i could dload it for free earlier

but as time passed on, they didnt provide d updat nemore cuz it was a very old version

so i looked on da net for ages and finally found a free one

u can find it at www.cliprex.com

dload da 'fraunhofer ac3 and dvd decoder'

but sometimes it doesnt play properly, like da top half of the screen flickers for a few seconds then it becomes fine.
