- Do we get better performance if we couple 2 128 MB cards with around 500 Mhz core speed, than a 256 MB card?

OK, now I understood that it is the core speed that matters in a graphics card and not really the memory----> That is not true.If the game has excellent grafix then the frame buffer on the grafix card needs to be fast and shud be large enough too.
Memory speeds andamount count my dear freind.

----> it depends on the type of memory. If the card has BGA Ram then it has higher clock speed and performs better. If the games demands more amount of ram for buffering huge maps then higher amount of ram helps.
But generally the cheaper cardswith 256 MB Ram do notsport BGA Ram and therefore it doesnt help much and might prove to be a bottleneck.
