Default shutdown entry in event viewer


is there any way to set some settings via gpedit or regedit in windowsxp pro ,so that when computer shutdowns abruptly [by power failure or something] event viewer should show that event with date and time.

i dont know if that can be done

but it seems illogical to me that it could be possible
if computer is switched off abruptly .. then it wont get any time to write this information in event-viewer database. i really dont think it would be possible.
