Default PDB File, how to read???

Today I have downloaded some professional text books. But my system is not recognising the format ie. .pdb
Example
Text book of Neurology.pdb

The files were compressed in .rar.
Using XP Home with all known extensions installed.

Please let me know, what is the software or reader I can use to read those books in .pdb format.

This is of extreme importance to me.

Thanx in advance.
