Hard Disk (BAD SECTORS) REPAIR?

Hi Friends,
I have Seagate 40GB HDD and now it is detected but i am not able to format it. I mean the computer HANGS whenever i try to format it.

I also used Partition Magic, but it get stuck on 94%.

I used one software (Disk Repair) which shows PHYSICAL BAD SECTORS.

I know it is not possible to Repair Physical Bad Sectors but i found one software named HDD REGENERATOR which claims to do it.

Also some noise (tak-tak) is coming from my HDD.

What should i do?

u should buy new hard disk, before that a solution is there for you.

Partition for HDD using ransih or something similar. Make 3 to 4 partitions, format the partitions leaving the partition that have bad sectors. This could be temp solution. And u may able to use your hdd for few months.

did you try scandisk?I had this problem to and was solved using scandisk.

Visit the seagate website and download the Seatools (free). The ISO version, if written on a CD, will be bootable, from there u can format, zero fill or check ur HDD.
