Default clock cycles elapsed in C??

hi,

i hav asked a similar question like " time of execution in C", i dint think it was relevant to ask tehre. so startd a new thread. In some programs i see, usually benchmarking sort of programs, the o/p is, It took "xxxxx" clock cycles to execute this program.... and from that using the processor we have and time alloted for a clockcycle, how to calculate the time of execution? How do they do that? cud u pls help me with the syntax for that also! thk u.

In the response to your previous query on how to find time taken to execute commands, I had given the clock_t/CLOCKS_PER_SEC difference for time to execute. While I am not sure, I am guessing that the CLOCKS_PER_SEC refers to ur clock cyles.

Perhaps someone with knowledge in systems programming will be able to confirm/correct my statement...
