good for that use

get a combo drive

Get SATA HD, with 8 MB buffer, seagate will do fine

don't buy a graphics card it won't be needed unless hardcore gaming, if u need get a Geforce 6200 non ultra with 128 MB RAM

Yup better go for Combo Drive and for 2.1 speakers try for Altec 2.1 ATP3 if possible.

Rest are fine...

dont go for a samsung cd-rw buddy .. and a combo is also not recommended , better buy a cd-rw n a dvd-rom. go for sony/benq drives. the cost diff between a combo and separate cd-rw n dvd-rom is hardly 400 bucks. samsung odd's are very famous for problems.

Hey guys thanx for the feedback, yes i would have certainly gone for a FX5200 and a better 2.1 speaker system but my friend is on a tight budget,so will probably keep those as upgrade options.
What i was wondering is to go for a Sempron or Athlon64 2800+.

Default AMD 64 vs AMD Sempron

It depends whether u are a gamer or not and also on ur budget. I'd recommend u AMD 64 2800+(good for light gaming).
