What makes a PC faster? One with two 128 MB RAMs or one with one 256MB RAM?

i think both will be same, speed depends on the frequency. If mobo supportsn dual channel mode, then that might be a different case.

but an advantage of keeping 1 256mb will be that if u want to increase, u got 1 slot free or else u wud have to sell one 128 and put something in exchange of it.

It will depend upon your mobo

If your mobo suppports dual channel mode then the (2x 128) will be faster and if not then the (1x 256) will be faster

Thanks
Regards..

plus i think its cheaper also buying 1 thing dan 2 things of d same size

for example 256....if a 128 costs rs2000 then two 128s will be rs4000 but the 256 will be something like rs3800

im jus takin an example those arent real rpices

Prefer one 256 mb ram if you have only 2 slots in your mobo.....

In dual channel mode there is performance increase...
