Default no shut down


Work in a college where i got a pc with no shut down option from the start menu or alt+f4 or alt+ctrl+del.No shut down option.Think some student have edited the registry.Can anyone give a solution?

open regedit
find a key named noshutdown ( usually in HKEY CURRENT USER> software>microsoft>policies>explorer)
If the value is 1 change it to 0.
save and exit restart and ur done!

Can't find any policy folder under microsoft in regedit.

Correct path is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer
