Default Quicker logon

in xp when i log in, it takes an age to login. Kindly tell me how i can speed up the process.

check ur start up list..start run msconfig then startup tab uncheck everythng useless and check ur running processes do u use antivirus?

First remove welcome screen and switch users option from user controls.
Then disable unnecessary services and startup applications as Virus suggested.

use regsetup to achieve the above steps much more safe then MSCONFIG !!!
