Default doc to music file


I just downloaded a song which is .doc..... how do i get it to play?????

Try renaming the file to mp3 or wav. It must play. DOC files have no connection with song formats.

I tried renaming file to .mp3, .mpeg, .wav . I even tried Vlc player cos it can play almost everything.............. but it doesnt play... Even where i downloaded it from doesnot mention anything to be done with d file

how is that possible??

open ur doc file in wordpad or word and save as "blah.mp3" with quotes

got me d ans with hit'n trial......... docs usually are to be renamed .zip
xls's are to be renamed .rar and .jpg's need a conversion program.
why r dese files stored like dis anyway????

theres no fixed rule with that
ppl just rename cuz of filename restrictions on certain sites
so if its a songs its simple to try some song formats initially

Why u not try to open it with some music players, like winamp, real player or WMP by opening them and goto: file -> open and select that d/l ed file...

he already got it...it was a zipped file...

ppl do that to files cuz sum sites only allow upload of specific file extensions for eg. u cant send exe files in gmail...or even zip em n send em

so if u hav to hav to hav to send an exe thru gmail

rename it to doc or something
send

and the guy who gets it will hafta rename it bak
