Default hfs webserver hoax ??please help (URGENT)


hello i installed hfs webserver and gave it one of my friends on lan so set up a high speed connection ,he can download movies from my computer at speed of 500KKbps but i can only download at 45-50Kbps . i have checked his speed limit and all the configuration is set up like mine . please help me

It happens sometimes on a LAN, maybe a faulty switch or just a bottleneck somewhere. Ask your cable operator to check it.

i tried, he has openend file sharing port ,does that create a problem

You can use default port 80 or any other port you wish to use.

I don't think ports are the issue here, its a network configuration problem and no amount of tinkering with HFS will help get better speeds.
