Default DVD Backup Problem !!!

I backed up a few of my DVD's (legally bought) using DVD Shrink and Nero Burning ROM ! They were 4 in all . While playing them back i noticed that in each dvd (using power DVD to view) at about 40mins into the movie the movie stops and either the player stops responding or i get a error message that "the DVD disc might be damaged to prevent playback" . All these 4 DVD's are Moserbaer 4.7Gb . I had to shrink 2 of the original DVD's but the other 2 were 4.7 so i didnt rquire to shrink em !
Still in each one the problem exists .

I use a sony DVD writter . My Pc config is :
Intel P4 3.2
512mb DDR Ram
Intel 915G motherboard
and plenty of Hdd space !!
running Win XP

Can you please tell me why this problem might be ??

i did use DVD dencrypter to rip the DVD's to my hdd but had to shrink em so i used DVD shrink ! what about the other 2 dvd for which i havent used DVD shrink ?

Even through DVD shrink i tested em by shrinking them all to a Hdd folder -- the movie rune perfectly !! So i dont think that theres a problem with the DVD Shrink !!

It may happen that the four DvD's r faulty.
Try some other DVD media n see if the problem persists.

Try re-installing Nero.

Try some other DVD player like Nero Showtime.

Try it on a DVD player

For burning dvd did you use dvd shrink??
Which model of sony dvd writer do you use??
Try to write at a lower speed and try. Set your dvd writer as secondary master. Post your quality scan of your dvd using nero cd-dvd speed or kprobe.

If you are getting really bad burns then you try to upgrade firmare of your dvd burner.

And you can try different video player like win dvd.
Try it on a standalone dvd player.

Regards
