Did spyware doctor detect it as a spyware?
if YES, then check that whether it has an entry in System Startup, by going:

Start -> Run and type msconfig, then goto Startup tab and check its entry.

If it exists then uncheck it and restart in Safe Mode and delete the file from system32 folder.

adrpan.exe...i searched for it on google, msn and yahoo. came up with nothing.

can only suggest you remove it from ur start-ups. either thru winxp/sp2 utility or use ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com). also use ccleaner to clean ur pc junk.

then scan you pc with anti-virus (avast or avg) and anti-spy (your spydoc AND adaware or ms anti-spy). if u can also download and use ewido, great !

if u can, do post ur hijackthis log here.
