Bit-torrent is a highly effective p2p software. The difference between BT and their p2p programs being that in BT u share only the file u download or u seed.

Seeders are people who keep torrents alive by making them available to download. Peers are people who download and share files.

Best BT apps:

1. Bit-Tornado

2. Azureus

3. Bit-Comet

4. Shareaza

I am downloading Bit-Torrent. What can I do with this program? How is it different from a DOWNLOAD MANAGER like DAP, FlashGet, etc.?

It is a open source license.Through BitTorrent u can download a file and u canupload also.It is not based on the server download as like( http). Each peer takes advantage of the best connections to the missing pieces while providing an upload connection to the pieces it already has.It take's some time to download when compared to http download. With BitTorrent, high demand can actually increase throughput as more bandwidth and additional “seeds of the completed file become available to the group.By using bittorent two or moe can download a file without server etc..Many bittorent download's are there example visit:

www.bitloard.com

www.edonkey.com

www.kazza.com

these are some popular one.

Ur download will be slower when compared with flashget or any other download manager. With the dailup connection assuming 50.6 kbs speed u can download a file (700 m.b) at around 175 hrs.Because if download 1 m.b mean u upload the same on the another hand.so it take long time to download when compared to download manager's.so go ahead with( http) download for faster download.
