Default why it is like?


I have received a mail with attachment(ZIP file).when i scan it with the MAIL service provider scanner(Norton).It says no virus detected.when i have download and extract the file it say's virus found.found by the same Norton 05.Dose the scanner cannot find virus in ZIP format?I had many time's like these.why it happens like these?say me plz.

hmm... screenshot (thumbnail view) pls... if possible.... & it is possible... aas i also had few email (in Yahoo) like urs... but which email service u r using..??

Yahoo and Rediffmail.In both i find the same problem.

Ya i am sure of it.see the screen short. These happen's in both yahoo and rediffmail.

one thing 1st.... now trojans & virures r not the same thing....

What is the difference between viruses, worms, and Trojans?

may b the scanner of Rediffmail, that is F-Secure didnt counted that as a threath....

simply F-Secure dont have that trojan in its data base...

was the file double zipped ?
if it was so, then even ur scanner wudnt pick it...

No .It is not double zipped.And i think rediff had not updated the fsecure see the copyright 2004.Now 2005 going to end.
