shortening movie file help

how can i shorten 707MB movie file to 700MB file? should I use divx or any codec? won't the quality be bad if use them???? please help.......

Well the answer is yes

download virtual dub from here
http://www.virtualdub.org/

downlaod divx helium codec from here
http://labs.divx.com/archives/000055.html

install them

now in virtual dub
use the compressoin option
select the divx compresiion and edit the changes
make the video a little bit smaler or decrease the kbps sttream from there

or else

u could try anothr feature i.e

this will surely fit yours 707 mb in your 700 mb
