help with apache

Hi
I am new to apache. Yesterday when I have uninstalled and reinstalled
the apache 2.0.43 , it is giving an error "services not installed". I
have tried with port 80 and 8080 both but none of them are working.I have
P IV with 512 MB ram and Win XP with SP 1. Please help.

Do you have some other webservers already installed like IIS, frontpage server etc.? They might be using those ports.
