how to recover my old data??????

Well fewdays back i updated my bios and the next time i switched it on i got the blue screen. tried to reinstall XP but didnt work. Well later i found out that the RAM went kaput (wonder how updating a rom affects ram :roll: ).

Well now the compu is up and runnin i am in a new prob. I had some imp documents in MY DOCUMENTS. But I am being denied access to that folder. I have a NTFS partition. I havent formatted that partition and it is intact.

Well, after restart of ur comp, did u create ny new user/reinstalled XP ?

Coz if the folders r made private, nothing can acess them.

One Tip : If u have linux u can acess them and retrieve it !
then use a s/w like Tuxidows and transfer em back to ur windows...

the folders were made private!!!!!!

And i was able to solve the problem!!!!
