My sys-Win 98 and Win Xp--win 98 boots fine--when selecting xp the boot screen shows up and an error is shown in a big blue screen..

***Cant load registry..file systemroot/system32/config/software is missing or corrupt or cant be written***

What i did is from win 98(into D:/ my xp partition) i copied the software file in repair folder into system32/config/.Now xp boots properly but behaves as if the first installation.No graphics,no installed programs..boobo
I have not also enabled system restore.Whenever i start sys restore or any sys app an error pops ***framedy.dll is not find.reinstalling the application can solve***
I have taken the old backup of the software file.

reinstall, the only way to go

Boot the system using windows XP original Cd and during setup select repair windows xp ...will save u a lot of time than reinstalling....

reinstal it dont u know the ripped version windows XP delux FD it is called.

it includes office 2003,winrar,sp1,windows xP in one cd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can u belive that?
or simply install the XP it takes only 35 minute yaar.
