For branded PC's this is what i sguuest ,

Dell >> HP >> IBM >> Acer >> HCL

Dell is the best and u get hell lot of options to customize the pc according to ur needs. Dell is a direct marketing company and doesnt have any dealers , so no probs of dealers giving u cheap stuff. Also they give u on site warranty no matter where u r.

Dell gives u onsite warranty if any problem arises .. also they have a dedicated toll free technical support centre .. those guyz are very helpful ... but i hope u have the basic knowledge of a pc such as installing the operating system , software , minor troubleshooting etc.

Dont worry about the support. If you dont get proper support I can find lot many guys who can support you for free. And if the support agent is rude to you, then note down his/her name and I can arrange a meet with him/her so you can kick him/her.

But select a branded pc only by looking at the configuration and overall package. Sometimes u gain a lot by buying branded pc sometimes u lose a lot on upgrade front.
