You can only increase physical RAM by adding more RAM to your PC. 256 MB is too less.

well if this s true then the thing is that after runnign computer for a long time the ram gets filled and u need to recover its memory agin by using ram optimizers like

memzilla , sys mechanic ram defragmenter , etc

you will also need to add more ram coz 256 is less dude

just check in the task manager what app is using what...... just end mega resource hungry apps and try not to open more that 3 to 4 apps at a time....

And what is so much of a problem in having only 14 Mb memory free?? hehe..........

i got this information from
start>all programms>accessories>system tools>system information

i closed all the applications and even nortain auto protect,webshots,outlook express etc.
still does not go over 83.5
