DFX for Winamp/WMP 10
Dee2 for all players...
SRS Labs's WOW Booster for WMP 10
Microsoft Plus! Speaker Profiles (Needs Plus! Installed)
For Windows Media Player visit www.wmplugins.com
For Winamp visit it's official website www.winamp.com (lot of Winamp customization and boosting stuff there)
For ur EQ set it like this

= = = = =

ok lemme give this another shot
by using plugins like DFX for particular media players. .. ull just get a lil better quality sound ... and something called as "Dynamic Boost" in ur mp3's etc ...
like i mentioned .. this is ofcourse not the sort of "boost" thats there in question ...
this kinda "boost" unfortunately cannot be attained by software methods ... u need a better sound card and ofcourse a good set of speakers ...
this is as far as i know .. if theres another method ... then probably suave_guy knows ... so wait or PM him ..No Mercy, No Limits.

I think u can basically expect the quality and the efects to go up by say most 20 percent .....but u can never get the comparable quality of sound from say what a higher sound system can give you...i mean no software out there is going to turn our typhoon or Mercury speakers to 7.1 Creative or Altec Lansing....
Only good options remaing is upgrading....
I am what, a Figment of my own imagination.

Hmm trust me softwares dont boost as much as we expect. I have a ATP3 on using DFX the bass started giving a bouncy sound it was cr@p i didnt like it. If you dont have subs then use DFX but if u do then dont the sound quality is hammered badly.

Dude ull need good spkrs for good sound.
A sound crd can be compensated by s/w not the spkrs.
By smethg like the iSound spkrs for 1k or the creaive inspire for 1.3k both 2.1 channel spkrs which give amazing fidility.
Use em with ur on brd snd crd along with a good plugin like Izotop Ozone .........maaaaan im sure ull rock the room.
