how can u reduce file size of gif images ???


as jpeg files can b, with help of irfan view ...

I don't know of any tool whereby a gif can be reduced in size without actually having to manually resize all its frames.

Open the image in IrfanView, and then go to Image Menu > Decrease Color Depth. Here choose "Custom" option, and enter the value (0 to 255) of color depth. And then click "OK" and resave the file.

You have to experiment with the color depth values such that there is no considerable loss in qulaity.

and what about resizing the gif file ?

if i use irfan view to resize the gif file then the animation is gone

so how to slve this one ?

Why always Irfan View. I use Animation Shop. it works great to resize animation. If anybody is having problems post that file to me and I will resize it for you.

irfanview is freeware ... bt resizing in it just reduces the image size & u lose out THE ANIMATION ...


any solution for irfanview ???
